We brought Ethan to Genting on 22 January, the day he was exactly 8 months (Happy 8 months baby). I had to go there for work, so I persuaded hubby to go along with Ethan. It was the first time we travel with Ethan, so I think it's a good experience before the next trip to Penang for CNY.
Things we brought for Ethan for 3days/2nights stay:
- Stroller
- Walker
- Cereal, biscuits, milk, bottles, thermos, pacifier x 2
- Ikan bilis powder (if not, he will not eat the cereal)
- Clothes x 7 sets, towel, hankerchief x 7pcs, hat
- Socks x 5 pairs,
- Diapers x 20 pcs
- Wipes, rash cream, yu yee oil
- Water x 3 liters
All these plus our stuff filled up the car including the front passenger seat. Ethan was in the car seat for about 30 minutes before he made so much noise that I had to carry him until we reached the hotel (luckily only Awana, not the top of the hill). With the headache I was having, the winding road and Ethan tossing around, I almost vomitted in the car. Don't know how to handle him in the car when we go to Penang during CNY???
Here are some photos of the little naughty one:

Hi Shannon,
I thought he looked more like the teletubbies..hahahaha
I guess I have to when we go to Penang during CNY
Dear Judy,
Welcome to my blog, my hubby is local lar but not chinese lar
Haha! Love the sticking-the-tongue-out photo! He's just soooo cute! =)
Kids always get restless in the car seat when we do long distance. We had the same problem when we were in Perth, some more it's a regulation for babies to be strapped in the car seat. So, when Irfan was fretful, had to sorok-sorok carry him and watch out for cops. Teeheeheee..
Back home, we don't put him in the car seat when we drive long distance. We only use the car seat if there's only 1 of us in the car. I know, I know, should put him all the time, but aiseh, penatlah when he cries!
OMG! he's so cute with the tongue out like dat! Travelling with a baby is like mentally torturing...have to pack alot..think alot..but alot...
he looked so cute in the car seat...
No matter how far or how near we travel, as long we are bringing darren, we are definately like shifting house..haha..the whole car is full of his things.. the loading and the unloading are good excersice for hubby and he hates it..
The first pic is so cute!! May I ask if u made ur own ikan bilis powder or is there readymade ones for sale?
Hello Mummies,
I like that photo also, naughty yet adorable. Travelling with baby is really a big project.
Nadia,
Ya lor, ya lor, it's more tiring to hear him cries than to carry him but i was thinking safer to put him in the car seat mar, somemore to genting, if kl i'm not so worry lar.
G,
I make my own ikan bilis powder. Never see such thing in the market but even if there is, I will not buy. I was brain washed by expert mummies that home made is the best for babies.
Ur Ethan look really cute on the 1st pic with his tongue sticking out. U must be very lucky to be able to capture that!
He is such a cutie! Dropped by from Shannon's blog.... Trips are often filled with detailed preparation when it comes to bringing a baby on a trip. Just took Jeremy to Penang in December!
Hi Angeleyes,
Yeah, it's pure luck. Just wanna snap a photo of him with the hat on, never thought he still do that.
Hello Pinky,
Welcome to my blog. Guess you had a much more detailed planning than mine...hehe
